You Are Not Alone

Suicide Bereavement Outreach

Our Hearts Break for You and Your Loss

We have walked a similar path that you are walking today. We are here to help you get through this.

Shock & Disbelief

Suicide is a tragic event that suddenly happens. In one split second, feelings of shock and disbelief are very normal reactions.

Physical Pain

Along with the shock from the trauma can come physical pain. Grief hurts!

Suicidal Ideations

Thoughts of dying or wishing you were with your loved one are normal as long as you don’t think you will act on it.

Guilt & Regret

You may experience feelings of guilt. Maybe you feel like it is your fault or that you should have or could have done something that could have stopped them. This is a normal reaction. You will arrive at a time when you realize that guilt is actually regret… we couldn’t control it, though we wish we could have.

Whys?

When we lose someone to suicide one of the first questions we ask is WHY.

  • Why did they do this?
  • Why didn’t they ask for help?
  • Why didn’t I see the signs?
  • Why did this happen?

Many times, we never get to a place where we accept that we won’t have the answers.

It's Hard But It's Ok to...

  • Talk about how your loved one died
You can say the word suicide. Many times, it is healing to tell your story over and over.
  • Get back into a routine
Sometimes a work routine will help to mentally and physically heal.
  • Laugh & feel happy
It may not seem possible just yet to you but one day you will find yourself laughing at a joke or enjoying a moment in your day. You may feel guilty for feeling happy, but remember, it is okay.

We Are Here To Help

You are loved

We Would Love to Pray for You

Heavenly Father you love all of us so much… You hate to see your children in pain… Before or after suicide… As our Father we can run to you at all times and you will give us rest and comfort. You will hold us in your arms and you will listen to us… about anything!!

“You loved us so much, you sent your one and only son to die for our sins, so we could become your forgiven children.” ~ John 3:16

In Jesus name…Amen!

God is Love

Some of you are struggling with thoughts of suicide. The evil one lies to you! Satan came to kill, steal and destroy lives. Please stop and think about this. People who kill themselves are trying to break free from their pain. But, suicide just makes people dead, not free. It actually causes more pain by spreading grief around to deceased people’s loved ones and friends. God wants you to know that while suicide can’t make you free, Jesus Christ can. Jesus wants to encourage you to imagine taking all of your burdens to the foot of the Cross in prayer and leaving them there for Jesus to take care of totally. Trust that He will help you with any situation – no matter how difficult. He loves you so much. “GOD IS LOVE” no matter what you think or have done.
