We know that mental health and suicide is a sensitive subject. We’ve heard the stigmas around suicide that make it a “taboo” topic of discussion in many circles. Having open conversations about the suicide epidemic in this country, the facts, the signs to look for, and the ways to cope will slow the spread of this growing epidemic. Through fellowship, sincerity, and taking the time to love one another, we believe that suicide can sometimes be prevented. That’s what Shelby’s Way is all about! Utilizing generous donations from our supporters we develop programs to engage our local Kentucky communities.

Raised For Suicide Awareness

The annual Hot Rod Hullabaloo is focused on pre-’68 models, but all makes, models and newer vehicles are welcome to attend! Get ready for music, food, souvenirs, vendors and the world famous “Hoodlum Down Hill Race”. This hot rod get together is absolutely free to participate in! Shelby’s Way will be collects donations for the cause (Bringing Awareness to Suicide Prevention) as well as selling t-shirts and other merchandise to raise money for suicide prevention and mental healthcare. It’s truly an event for the community to help the community.

Deuces of the Bluegrass

The annual Deuces of the Bluegrass gathering is dedicated to “the Deuce” and only pre-49 street rods. Get that car cleaned up and ready for the drive into our great Bluegrass state. Make sure to grab a comfy chair and enjoy a day of community fellowship, food and live bluegrass music all while raising money for suicide prevention.

Swingin' Fore Shelby

Swingin’ Fore Shelby is a charity golf scramble event to raise funds for Shelby’s Way and promote suicide prevention & awareness. These funds provide financial assistance for those struggling with everyday needs, psychiatric (mental health care, depression or suicidal thoughts) visits and unexpected funeral cost of a lost love one to suicide.

Blankets and Blessings

The Blankets and Blessings Revival Run is more than just a cruise through the back roads of the Bluegrass. In October we begin collecting blankets, clothing and toiletries at area locations to bless our homeless community in both Lexington and Frankfort. Then, in November, we gather a group of hot rods to help deliver the items and start outreach conversations with folks along the way.
