How to Understand and Address Suicide in Your Communities and Congregations

Dec 5, 2017

Shelby’s Way will be on this panel at a upcoming event at EKU, I want to invite anyone in the clergy or faith related organization to come and to all our supporters.

Please share this post far and wide. EKU SAFE, the federal campus suicide prevention grant on EKU’s campus, is hosting an event on January 8th that addresses suicide in both faith communities and clinical settings, and is appropriate for clergy/seminarians and behavioral health providers alike. If you care about the intersection of faith and suicide prevention, this event is not to be missed! There is distance learning opportunity, so you do not have to be physically present to enjoy this training! Just register for it! CEUs have been applied for social workers, psychologists, licensed alcohol and drug counselors, and licensed marriage and family therapists in Kentucky. Speakers include: Dr. Frank Campbell, Rabbi Daniel Roberts, Dr. David Maynard, and Father Steve Roberts of UK’s Newman Center.  Please consider joining us for this novel and very important training!

Thank You, Mark Cain
