After the death of our son Shelby in 2009 by suicide, Christ and passion convicted me (Mark Cain) to start a non-profit. Shelby’s Way not only educates and informs, but through our events we raise money to help clients with everyday financial needs, mental health care and medicine along with funds to help families bury their loved ones lost by suicide. Unfortunately even with 5 events a year and online donations we will have a $30,000 short fall this year and for 2019. With the growth of my shop Shelby’s Speed & Kustom (the dream of our son Shelby) and the success of our most recent 32 3 window coupe build, I have decided on another build you see here…Project 32 to benefit Shelby’s Way. My hope is to get manufacturers involved in helping us save on parts by allowing us to purchase these parts at cost. I believe this will help us keep cost down and with myself building the car and after completion (in approximately 19 months), sale the car at a nice profit which will benefit our 501c3 nonprofit. Of course any donations of parts are tax deductible for companies and individuals. I contracted artist Jimmy Smith to work with me by doing this rendering of the finished 32. Depending on support we will build either a highboy or a fendered roadster. Any support you or your company can provide will be greatly appreciated. Through the spirit of community and fellowship we can prevent another tragic loss and end the stigma of discussing the difficult topics of suicide for our own well being! Thank You, Mark Cain Shelby’s Way… Founder/President
